Student Access Center
The Student Access Center provides a "hands-on" approach and support needed to encourage students to continue to meet their educational and employment goals.
Students and teachers can utilize the Student Access Center, which is fully accessible and loaded with access technology, either at the TransAccess office or at their local school, when the center needs to be mobile. The center works around student and teachers schedules by offering drop-in hours and on-site/off-site appointment, which includes workshops such as resume writing and setting up an email account, using the latest software, or Internet access after school to finish up homework or search for a job.

Job Shadowing
Through job shadowing students are allowed the opportunity to spend time with professional employees in occupations of their interest. Students observe and often participate in daily work activities on-site to become more familiar with the work environment. Students also learn what skills are required in related occupations from interacting with employees, who define what education and technologies are appropriate to be a productive employee.
Business Networking
Networking is one of the most important strategies in building success for a student or individual seeking employment. Students are able to meet personally with business representatives to learn first-hand what training and job skills are necessary for employment. Students may meet individually or attend workshops and company presentations to help improve their job search skills and develop their career path while making valuable employer contacts.
TransAccess staff and corporate employees offer the Job Shadowing and Business Networking services at no cost.
