TransAccess Needs You!

Community involvement is essential to the success of TransAccess. We welcome your participation as a volunteer or donor for any of our programs or events. "Without your help I wouldn't have gotten the job."

Donations

Our donors give the financial resources that make it possible for us to provide quality services. Donors can give as individuals, organizations or corporations. Donors can also donate in-kind services or products that we would otherwise need to purchase. The most important result of your donation, whether financial, in-kind or volunteer, is the benefit to our clients.

Your financial and in-kind donations give us the ability to provide the tools for persons with disabilities to return to work, keep their jobs or transition from school to a career. The resources that have been provided by our donors have allowed TransAccess to serve over 7,200 individuals with disabilities since 1997.

A donation of as little as $100.00 can provide TransAccess the funds to go into a high school classroom for students with disabilities and teach a class on interviewing skills. A donation of $1,000.00 can provide a computer access technology evaluation and some training to an individual with a disability trying to find a job.

Volunteering

Volunteering allows us to perform much needed outreach to the disabled community and volunteers are always needed!

Volunteer opportunities can be long or short term, ranging from a few hours to meet with one of our students for an informational interview to several hours as a mentor to one of our students. We meet and work with volunteers from a variety of fields, backgrounds and employment levels.

If you are a professional who can donate a few hours of time to meet one or more students on a one-time or occasional basis, there are many areas in which you can volunteer.
