Bill Moher
Retired/Human Resources Director
Bill Moher joined the TransAccess Board in 2007. Bill is retired from a lengthy career in Human Resources. He has held positions at several local corporations including Altera Corporation (programmable semiconductors) – Employee Relations, Affirmative Action, Communications, Community Relations; Acuson (ultrasound medical imaging) – Employee Relations, Communications, Employment / Staffing; Apple (personal computers) – Fremont Macintosh Factory – Employee Relations, Affirmative Action, Communications, Compensation & Benefits, Employment / Staffing; and General Electric Company (nuclear energy) – Employee Relations, Affirmative Action, Communications, Compensation & Benefits, Employment / Staffing, Union Relations. Bill received a BA in Psychology from Santa Clara University and also served in the US Coast Guard (LCDR). Bill's non-profit involvement also included serving on the Board of Directors for Project Hired from 1980 – 2000.
His service to the community has led to several awards including: 1996 Project Hired – Advocate of the Year; 1996 U. S. Congressional Recognition – from Anna Eshoo, Member of Congress; 1991 Electronics Industry Foundation – National Project with Industry (PWI) Program – "in recognition of outstanding leadership and participation"; 1982 - California Lieutenant Governor, Leo McCarthy, recognition for "work to facilitate the employment of qualified persons with disabilities."
