Greg Dumas

Greg Dumas joined the board of TransAccess in 1985. Greg is currently the Chief Technical Officer at DST Controls. Greg has a history of designing valuable solutions. For example, while at ROLM he was the lead inventor of the digital phone, now the basis for all digital business phones sold today. In 1989 he accepted IBM's request to join their high speed IP & VLSI communications research team in Zurich Switzerland where he and his family lived for two years. Upon returning to the U.S. he remained in telecommunication, working for Siemens. In 2005, he joined DST Controls, an industrial engineering firm focused on the process industry- companies that produce electricity, water, gas, medicines and food.


In addition to business activities, Greg taught engineering at the University of California. He has four US patents, two international patents, five publications, and is an invited speaker at the International Switching Symposium (Tokyo and Berlin). Trained as an engineer at Polytechnic Univ. (New York), Greg later studied language to enable him to speak both conversational German and Korean.
