We match adaptive technology to people with disabilities in our state-of-the-art Access Technology Center and our Access Technology Van. We can bring solutions to your work, home or school site.
We partner with business and industry professionals in our School-to-Future programs, offer local high school accessibility workshops and additional workshops and trainings in our on-site student access center as well as provide mentors to students through the California Mentoring Initiative program.
With our expert training and custom installation, voice recognition software can benefit your employees, increase productivity and reduce costs! We can additionally benefit your employees by providing ergonomic evaluations and trainings preventing costly workplace injuries.
Access to Jobs: a program sponsored with major funding provided by the U.S. Department of Education Projects with Industry program. Within your identified career field, work with TransAccess' staff to secure job placement after you have completed your education or while you continue advanced and/or alternative education.

Our Mission
TransAccess provides persons with disabilities access to adaptive technology and career transition services so that they can achieve their desired education and employment, and improve their quality of life.
Our History
TransAccess was originally founded in 1980 as Disabled Programmers, Inc., by Thomas Puorro, a former IBM executive whose son was paralyzed in a diving accident.
TransAccess started by training people with disabilities for careers in computer programming. Todays focus is on School-to-Future services for students with disabilities, Computer Access Technology assessments and training for individuals with disabilities and work related injuries.
